SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: Governor Andrew Cuomo confirmed Wednesday that the board is currently looking for a fair director. Sources tell Spectrum News it won't be the man that has held the reins for the past four years, Troy Waffner. For some, that news has been shocking, since the fair's growth has exploded during that time. In addition to attendance records, there have been major renovations on the ground. Cuomo says while Waffner has done a great job, he wants to see if the fair can do even better. Sources say the next person in line is local real estate developer Dan Queri. He has experience in the Walt Disney organization. That announcement could happen sometime in the next month. Waffner will be asked to stay on in some capacity.
