Get your taste buds ready because the ever-popular Downtown Dining Weeks begin Wednesday in Syracuse. This year some new restaurants are on the menu, along with a special hotel offer. Brad Vivacqua has more from West Fayette Street in Downtown Syracuse with everything you need to know.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Over the next two weeks, four downtown hotels are offering a special rate as part of the Dining Weeks campaign.

So, you can eat at a place like Kitty Hoynes -- then stay across the street at the Courtyard. So many people look forward to it every year. You're right they really do.

This is the 13th year for Downtown Dining Weeks and every year there's a new twist -- of course this year it's the hotels.

Thirty-two restaurants are involved this year, offering three courses for $25 or less.

Five restaurants are new to the campaign, while at least a few of the restaurants have participated all 13 years.

Hotels including the Courtyard and Residence Inn Marriotts, Jefferson Clinton, and Marriott Syracuse Downtown want to make it easier for visitors after dining out.

"Our four downtown Syracuse hotels, are offering a special room rate of $185, with that you get a $25 voucher, to enjoy dinner at one of our Downtown Dining Weeks restaurants, plus you get free parking,” said Syracuse Downtown Committee Executive Director Merike Treier.

This campaign typically attracts between around 40,000 people to the downtown area during the two week run.

I mentioned there are 5 new venues participating in Dining Weeks this year, including Apizza Regionale, which specializes in seasonal pastas and pizzas.

And Downtown Dining Weeks will run from today through March 1.
