GEDDES, N.Y. -- Those delicious cookies are back.

Nearly 1,500 Girl Scouts kicked off the beginning of the cookie program at the fairgrounds Saturday.

This year is the 100th year of selling cookies for the organization.

Girl Scouts baked their own cookies at the event as a way to remember how they were made that first year back in 1917.

One Girl Scout who says this time of year is a favorite for her.

"I think it's helped me with my business skills and I find it's really fun just to be able to go around and be almost that small adult and getting to go around and getting to sell girl scout cookies," Girl Scout Maria Decaro said.

There is a new addition to the cookie list, this year there is a S'mores cookie.

Booth sales start March 4th.
