WEEDSPORT, N.Y. -- Students at Weedsport Central School District have something to be excited about.
The school just unveiled its new pool. The project was approved in 2013 and construction got underway just about a year ago. The school's athletic director says he hopes it will be used by more than just the school.
"The possibility of an aquatics director and with that the potential for some youth programs. Hopefully move in the direction of community use as well. Certainly don't want to put the cart before the horse, but certainly that would be something we would think is ideal," said AD Christian Maher.
Along with the new pool the school also renovated the locker rooms.
