The holiday season means the return of ballet shows.

In Central New York, rehearsals are underway for the second annual Dasher's Magical Gift. It's a Christmas show with fun characters like penguins, elves and reindeer. The dancers practiced their choreography Saturday afternoon. They will perform the fully narrated ballet show for school and public audiences.  More than 30 students from Dance Centre North form the cast.

"The kids are from all over the area. We have kids from Phoenix, Fulton, Skaneateles, Liverpool, Manlius, so it's quite a collection of kids," said Larry Crabtree, director, choreographer.

The show runs December 9 - 12 at the Civic Center.
