Anthony Saccone, the man accused in a drunk-driving crash that killed three people, has filed a notice of claim against Onondaga County.

The intent to file a lawsuit stems from an arrest in July.

Saccone was originally accused of driving drunk again and spinning out the wheels of a car before the Syracuse Nationals.

Charges ended up being dropped by the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office due to a lack of evidence.

Saccone is now claiming that he was falsely arrested, calling it malicious without probably cause.

He claims the second charge illegally coerced him into a plea deal for the February crash that killed three people.

District Attorney William Fitzpatrick called the claim “mertiless.”

“His hubris really has no bounds,” Fitzpatrick said in a statement.

In recent court hearings, Saccone has tried to take back that plea, but has been denied.

Prosecutors say he was speeding back in February and ran a red light, hitting another car and killing 18-year-old Michael Walker, 19-year-old Baylie Rose and 20-year-old Samra Osmanovic.

He is expected to receive 10-30 years when he is sentenced next month.
