Syracuse Police say two teenagers were shot on the city’s South Side Sunday morning.

Police responded to the 600 block of West Lafayette Avenue just before noon.

There they found a 16-year-old boy who was shot in the abdomen and a 14-year-old boy shot in the arm.

They were taken to the hospital. Police say their injuries appear non-life threatening.

No suspects are in custody.

This is just the most recent incident in what's been a violent month for Syracuse.

James Springer, 12, was shot and killed just over a week ago.

A suspect was arrested in connection with Springer's death, but he was released just a few days ago after new evidence was discovered.
