The man accused of killing three young adults while driving drunk is back behind bars, accused of driving drunk once again.
Sheriff's deputies say Anthony Saccone was arrested around 2 a.m. Sunday near 7th North and Electronics Parkway in the town of Salina.
They were conducting a routine traffic patrol when they saw a vehicle spinning its tires, and found Saccone behind the wheel.
Deputies say he was consuming alcohol while operating the vehicle, but refused to take a breath test.
Saccone is now facing multiple charges, including consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation.
He was arraigned in city court Sunday morning and given $500,000 cash bail.
Saccone is already facing three murder charges and aggravated vehicular homicide for a crash back in February.
Prosecutors say he was speeding and ran a red light, hitting another car and killing 18-year-old Michael Walker, 19-year-old Baylie Rose and 20-year-old Samra Osmanovic.
During his last court appearance, Saccone was ordered to not engage in public intoxication.
The district attorney says that Saccone's arrest doesn't come as a surprise.
"I'm not shocked. That's why Judge Doran originally set bail and someone else in their wisdom lowered it and allowed him to be out. Just fortunately no one was hurt,” said William Fitzpatrick, Onondaga County district attorney.
Saccone's lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.
The DA says Saccone is due back in court Monday.
