SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the city's most recent homicide.

Nick Costello, 21, has been charged with hindering prosecution and concealment of a human corpse.

Investigators say he helped move the body of Charles Nichols after Nichols was shot on Lawrence Street last weekend.

Nichols' body was found a few days after his death behind a vacant home on Oberst Street.

Vladimir Brown, 35, was also arrested earlier in the week and charged with murder.

Police say they were able to take both men into custody because of the cooperation of others.

"Even though we make an arrest for a murder, we continue to investigate to make sure that all of those responsible are brought to justice. And that's what happened in this case,” said Frank Fowler, Syracuse Police chief.

Police are still looking for additional witnesses. Anyone with information can call them at (315) 442-5222.
