FAYETTEVILLE, N.Y. -- Investigators are still looking into what caused a fire at a vacant house in Fayetteville Friday night.

A neighbor called in the fire after seeing smoke billowing out from the single-story house and hearing a smoke detector going off.

Crews were able to extinguish heavy flames after about 20 minutes.

Officials say no renovations or construction were known to be happening on the property.

No injuries were reported.
