As a former investigator for the Onondaga County District Attorney faces prison time, he's also being hit with a lawsuit from the family of the teen he hit and killed.

Peter Rauch pleaded guilty to second degree vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a crash. He was driving a county-owned vehicle when he hit 18-year-old Seth Collier on North Salina Street in March.

Under his plea deal, Rauch faces no more than two to six years in prison. He'll also have to pay Collier's family $18,500 in restitution for medical and funeral expenses. But now, they're seeking more damages in a lawsuit filed with Onondaga County Court.

The family recently settled a suit against Onondaga County for $150,000.

Rauch is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. Friday.
