A prison break in the North Country dominated the news in June of 2015 -- now the story of the escape and the manhunt that followed will head to the small screen.

"Escape at Dannemora" is an eight-episode miniseries scheduled to debut on Showtime in November.

It follows the three-week search for escaped convicts David Sweat and Richard Matt.

A trailer is out for the new series, which stars a couple of Oscar winners. Benicio Del Toro plays Matt and Patricia Arquette plays Joyce Mitchell, the prison tailor shop employee who helped the two killers escape.

Ben Stiller directed the series, which was partially shot in the North Country.
