The results of the election could have a big impact on immigration policy at the state and federal level. Advocates saw some big wins last week, including here in New York, where Senate Democrats are discussing taking up measures like drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants when they take control in January. But things have not changed at the White House and that means there still are some big battles playing out, like the legal fight over a proposed question on the 2020 census.
