We are running out of time to save the world from a "climate catastrophe." A United Nations report released on Monday finds that if greenhouse gas emissions continue at the current rate, the atmosphere will warm up by as much as 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit as early as 2040. This would lead to rising sea levels, more wild fires and intensifying droughts, and increased food shortages, among other things. The report was written by 91 scientists from 40 countries. So, what can New York state and we as individuals do to help prevent such a crisis? Amanda Lefton of The Nature Conservancy explains.
