Senate Republicans will begin holding hearings on the state parole board's decisions to restore voting rights to over 24,000 parolees.

It's concerning lawmakers and constituents alike, especially in instances like last week's primary elections, where parolees also classified as sex offenders granted conditional pardons were able to vote at polling sites on school grounds.

The first hearing will be held on October 1st in Albany, followed by one on Long Island.
