School is almost out for summer, and that means summer camps will soon open up.

But some owners are hoping the legislature will take action before they leave for the summer on a bill to change some of the state's hiring regulations.

Under current law, most licensed mental health professionals can only be employed by someone with the same license.

So that makes it hard for camps to add specialists to their staff.

Assemblyman Tom Abinanti is helping push for a change. He joins me from the Capitol now to explain more.
