Friday, the Brennan Center was in court to try to close what's known as the LLC loophole. As you may know, one person can create an unlimited number of limited liability corporations and then donate to a candidate from each LLC, essentially allowing them to exceed the limit for a single donor. There have been legislative proposals to change the system, but none have passed the full legislature. So the center asked the Board of Elections to act, and then sued when the board voted not to. Dan Weiner of the Brennan Center joins us to go over the latest developments.
