On October 4th, 25-year-old Sergeant La David Johnson was killed while serving in Niger. He was one of four U.S. Special Forces troops killed in an attack by militants linked to the Islamic State group. Last week, his body was returned to his pregnant widow, Myeshia, in Florida. It was a phone call from President Trump to Myeshia that spurred a still-ongoing battle between the two of them, the White House staff and a Florida Congresswoman. It started when Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, a Democrat, criticized Trump for not expressing a sufficient amount of empathy during that call. A week later, the president is still tweeting his side of the story, while both the congresswoman and Sergeant Johnson's wife stand by their claims. Colgate University political science Professor Nina Moore joins us to discuss.
