ALBANY, N.Y. -- Dozens gathered outside the capitol building in Albany to protest President-elect Donald Trump.

Organizers say the purpose of the rally was to create a united front and show their message is one of peace and love.

People say they are concerned about the rights of women and minorities, as well as the issues of climate change and minimum wage.

"He is already picking people to be in his team that are really looking out for cooperate interests, and so I think we have to stand up and be watchful for the people that are going to really be hurt by his economic policies," said Joanna Nadeau, an environmentalist.

The event was called the sister protest to those going on New York City.
