SPECTRUM NEWS VIDEO: This matchup had the makings of a good game on paper coming in and early on it looked like it would be.  It was a defensive struggle early as teams fought through the muddy conditions at Duanesburg.  After a scoreless first quarter Chatham started to get its offense in gear.  The Panthers scored 3 touchdowns on the 2nd quarter to take a an 18-0 lead over Helderberg Valley at the half.  Chatham senior quarterback Kaleb Taylor was all over the field on offense throwing for two touchdowns and running for two more.

"The first quarter was rough, you could see that." Said Taylor. "But when we got going in the 2nd and the 3rd quarter, once we started figuring the defense out and the slop, we started doing great and started moving the ball.  The line did a heck of a job."

The Panthers would run away with a 40-7 win and improve to 5-0 on the season.  They certainly look like they could be a dangerous team come playoff time.

"We fought through here on a tough muddy field against a real good physical Helderberg team." Said Chatham Head Coach Rich Sitzer. "Glad for the win but we have some work to do to get better for the season"

Chatham is back home next weekend to take on Cairo-Durham.
