Jimmy Patsos is out as Siena men's basketball coach.

Siena confirmed in a press release Friday that the school accepted Patsos' resignation, and that school officials met with the basketball team to inform them of the news.

The Saints program had been under a school investigation amid reports that the coach verbally berated a team manager with a mental disorder. Additionally, two sources close to the program had told Spectrum News that Patsos had team managers thrown off the bus ahead of an away game earlier this year. Those managers, according to the sources, then had to walk to the game.

The coach addressed those allegations last week, denying that he verbally abused a manager.

"I have denied and continue to deny any accusations of wrongdoing, but it is clear that it would be impossible to coach and recruit for Siena in this atmosphere," Patsos said Friday in a statement issued by his lawyers, "and I would never want to do or say anything that would be harmful to the team or to the school."

Patsos went 77-92 in five seasons at the helm, including an 8-24 record this past season.
