SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A dream season for Holy Trinity football came to a tough end Friday at the Carrier Dome.

Nacier Hundley caught a pair of touchdown passes, but the Pride couldn't keep up with Skaneateles in a 28-25 loss in the NYSPHSAA Class C championship game.

Nick Wamp caught two touchdown passes from Patrick Hackler as the Lakers extended their lead with a couple of third-quarter TDs.

Hundley got Holy Trinity on the board first, catching a wide receiver screen and darting 40 yards for the touchdown with 9:25 left in the first quarter. He'd add another TD to his highlight reel in the last minute of the first half, catching a 67-yard TD pass and making the Skaneateles defender miss multiple times after the catch.

The Pride made it interesting in the final minutes, as Jordan Mettler caught a 14-yard touchdown pass on a screen and Noah Foster caught a deep ball in the final minute for a 65-yard TD. Missed points after touchdown, though, hurt the Pride, and Skaneateles ran out the clock.

Skaneateles had too much offense for Holy Trinity, outgaining the Pride 500-325 in total yardage and amassing 29 first downs to Holy Trinity's 12. The Pride also couldn't take full advantage of Hackler's three interceptions.
