SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Cambridge Indians are again state football champions.

The Indians won their second straight NYSPHSAA Class D state crown, defeating Maple Grove 26-14 on Friday at the Carrier Dome. Cambridge also defeated Maple Grove in last year's state championship game.

Colton Dean scored two touchdowns in the win, rushing for 83 yards on 20 carries, and the Indian defense allowed just one score, with the other being a Maple Grove interception for a touchdown.

This is the third state championship in school history for Cambridge, joining the 1999 and 2016 crowns.
