New York Governor Voting Guide

The race for governor of New York is a crowded field, despite only one primary race. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is seeking another four years in Albany, but faces a primary fight this September.

If Cuomo were to prevail — and early polls point to a victory — he would face a Republican challenger in Marc Molinaro, plus independent Stephanie Miner, Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins and Libertarian candidate Larry Sharpe.

The governor's record on ethics-related issues has been a common attack lodged by his challengers.
