Mayfield Elementary School spent Monday morning thinking of the less fortunate.

Each student was asked to bring in an unwrapped toy to donate to the Salvation Army.

It's the second year of the fundraiser, which was the idea of now-second grader Kendyl Conyne.

"They deserve a smile on their face and deserve a Christmas," said Conyne.

Each student got the opportunity to place their gift inside a sleigh. The hundreds of toys were then transported by the Mayfield Fire Department.

So far, the Salvation Army of Fulton County expects to help just under 200 people. With these donations, they’ll be able to hand out three gifts per child.
