Thanksgiving started a few days early at Victory Christian Church in Albany, where they were showing their gratitude on Monday by giving back.

Volunteers stopped by the church to pack up and hand out all the fixings for a full Thanksgiving feast — turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, to name just a few.

All those boxes are being given out to members of the Albany community who may not have the money to feed their families for the holiday.

Pastor Charlie Muller says that reaching out for Thanksgiving is just part of a year-long effort to support Albany families.

"It’s more than just putting a plate of food on the table — it’s about making neighborhoods safer, they can know the resources available,” he said.

Muller estimates more than 100 people stopped by Monday night for their Thanksgiving meals.
