It's a holiday that's all about expressing gratitude, and in Schenectady, dozens of volunteers are getting ready for Thanksgiving the best way they know how — by volunteering.

The annual Concerned for the Hungry food drive handed out more than 2,000 baskets for families in need this year. That includes all the makings of a classic Thanksgiving meal, including a frozen turkey, gravy, and fixings.

Families who wanted to receive a basket were able to sign up and pick up their food at St. John the Evangelist School on Union Street.
