More than 600 people were at the Senate Garage in Kingston to show support for 19th Congressional District candidate Antonio Delgado. A Spectrum News-Siena College poll has incumbent Republican John Faso leading Delgado by 1 percentage point. That razor thin margin drawing former Vice President Joe Biden to the Hudson Valley to stump for Delegado.

"People who will give hate no harbor, people who are authentic. And ladies and gentlemen, in order to restore America's stature at home and abroad, we have to find those people, and that's why I'm here," said Former Vice President Joe Biden.

Faso has also received support from the top of his party-getting the endorsement of President Donald Trump.

With less than two weeks until election day, both candidates are still trying to convey their ideas on some of the biggest policy issues- like healthcare and taxes

"We're getting attempts to take healthcare away from folks who need it, just to give money away to those who don't. We're getting a tax bill that bankrupts our future, on the backs of working and middle class folks and does so in a way that allows or or does not allow us to invest in the things we need," said 19th Congressional District candidate Antonio Delgado.

Congressman Faso welcomes Biden to the district, but says the candidate he supports, does not align with district needs.

" It is not a surprise that a prominent Democrat is endorsing my opponent. However, most people in our district don’t support higher taxes and the government run healthcare scheme promoted by my opponent," said Congressman John Faso in part of his statement on the visit.
