State Police say a deadly fire in North Granville is under investigation right now.
Troopers say they were called to the fire at a home near the intersection of State Route 22 and Lower Turnpike Road. They tried to get someone out of the home who was trapped, but troopers say they were turned back by thick smoke and intense heat.
When the fire was put out, authorities say one victim was found inside the home. State Police did not identify the victim at this time.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature.
