A man's body was pulled from the Mohawk River this afternoon.

Investigators say 55-year-old Kevin Straut was fishing last night near Lock 9 in Rotterdam Junction. His family called police this morning when he didn't come home.

Glenville Police found his vehicle, then brought in Rotterdam police and launched a multi-agency search of the river. A helicopter located Straut's body this afternoon, a few miles from where he was fishing.

Spectrum News was told an autopsy will be conducted, but right now investigators say it looks like he accidentally fell in.

They ask anyone who may have seen Straut last night, to contact Rotterdam Police.
