More than $100,000 worth of supplies are making their way from the Capital Region to North and South Carolina, to help those devastated by Hurricane Florence.

The cleaning supplies and necessities were enough to fill an entire tractor trailer, at the Albany donation center. The goods were all donated to Jezreel International by both local residents and businesses around the Capital Region.

The non-profit has helped donate to natural disasters across the country for nearly two decades.

According to the non-profit's general manager, Jim Pratt, "People really get involved, they really roll up their sleeves. Unfortunately, We don't have a lot of unity when it comes to this. You don't get a lot of people saying 'oh let's go to this place and do it here.' Everyone wants to do their own separate little thing, and as a result it's chaos on the other end."

The supplies should land at their destination in the Carolinas and start being distributed to residents by Thursday.

Organizers say this is the first of many shipments they will be sending to the victims. Next shipments could include furniture, clothing, and food.
