Schenectady's Central Park was swarming with superheroes, Saturday, for the 15th annual Walk for Autism.

The fundraiser is put together each year to raise money for the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region.

The event, was renamed this year in honor of Anthony Blaauboer, the Waterford teen who tragically passed away in August.

Spectrum News talked to his family, following the announcement.

“We are very very excited and were very honored it’s a wonderful honor to have received and Anthony was just a kind kind boy," said Dodee Sharidn, Anthony's aunt.

And now his spirit, will always be part pf the Hero Walk for Autism.
