The Walk to End Alzheimer's stepped off in Loudonville Saturday.

The annual event at Siena College raises money in the battle against the deadly, memory-destroying disease.

With hundreds in attendance to support that goal, all funds raised will go to the non-profit Alzheimer's Association.

One young man who lost a father to the ravages of FTD, a disease similar to Alzheimer's, spoke about his experiences.

He described the moving way, he and other friends and loved ones were able to pay tribute at the event, to his dad's memory.
