ALBANY, N.Y. -- The American Red Cross is helping an Albany family after fire damaged their home on Quail Street.

Firefighters got the call just before 10:30 Tuesday night.

When they arrived they found heavy fire on the first floor of the home. The fire then spread to an attached home.

"When the fire is hidden in the walls, it's a little difficult to find. They had to open up some voids and kind of chase it around a bit. But it's nothing we can't handle. The firefighters did a great job,” said Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
