SCOTIA, N.Y. -- A car crashed into a home overnight in Scotia.

Police say a car lost control, and crashed into a home on Fifth Street around 2 a.m.

It seemed to knock the enclosed porch – making it unbalanced.

Thankfully no one was hurt, and the damage, while it looks bad, is relatively minimal.

The fire department is using a public works bucket loader to make sure the porch stays in place.

A building inspector is expected to evaluate the structure Thursday.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
