The man, who fired into a crowd of people and killed another man in Schenectady, has been sentenced.

Niam Dorvil was convicted earlier this year for the murder of Jonathan Olds on Crane Street.

He'll now serve 35 years to life in state prison for depraved indifference homicide.

Dorvil fired seven shots into a crowd of about 30 people near the El Dorado bar that July night, then tried to flee in a friend's car.

He told Schenectady police and the FBI that he fired into the crowd because he was mad at the world, and Olds was not an intended target.
