ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are investigating their ninth homicide of the year.

They're currently investigating a stabbing on the 100 block of Lark Street.

Police say it happened around 11:15 Wednesday night. They say 45-year-old James Jones of Albany was stabbed in what appears to be a domestic-related incident.

Officers found Jones outside with a stab wound to his torso. He later died at the hospital.

The stabbing remains under investigation, but we were told earlier that it was the result of a domestic dispute between two people. So far, police have not identified any suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or submit a tip to the Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
