The final day of filming in albany for the hit Netflix show, 'The Punisher' Season 2, was exciting for some, but nerve-wracking for others.

Spectrum News caught a glimpse of some of the filming Saturday on Clinton and North Lake Avenues. Those streets were of course closed but spectators still got a look at an ambulance swerving, in one scene.

But Friday, Albany Police sent out an alert to neighbors living near 'The Punisher' filming sites to be aware of simulated gunfire Saturday. With the recent streak of shooting violence in Albany this summer, some are wondering why those simulations aren’t being shot, elsewhere.

“There's a lot of violence in this city, particularly in this area, and other low end areas of the city so I don’t agree with that because most people who live in this area, if they’re not cognizant of whats going on, they would consider this real gun fire going on, so my issue with that is it could have been done a different way," said Lynwood Daniel, who lives in Albany.

Roadways accessing North Lake, Washington, and Clinton Avenues will continue to be blocked off until 9 pm, Saturday.
