CENTRAL FLORIDA -- Skies will clear out in Central Florida overnight.

This will allow temperatures to quickly heat up into the 80s by the middle of Wednesday morning.

Temperatures overnight will be dipping into the 70s with afternoon highs for the middle and latter portion of the week reaching the low to mid 90s.

Storm chances will start to increase again over the weekend. Afternoon storm chances will increase back to 40 to 50 percent by Saturday and Sunday.

The surf and marine forecast for Wednesday includes wind out of the east at 5-10 knots with 2-3+ feet waves. There is a moderate risk for rip currents.

Water temperatures are running in the low to mid 80s along the East Coast of Florida.

The UV Index will be dangerously high at an eleven. This means sunburn could happen in just under 10 minutes so be sure to apply the sunscreen.

Tropical Update

Tropical Storm Chris has become a Hurricane.

Chris continues to sit off the coast of the Carolinas, but it is starting to move away from the U.S. coastline towards the northeast at about 10 mph.

A trough of low pressure over the northeastern U.S. will continue to push Chris out to sea and away from the Eastern Seaboard.

The main impacts of Hurricane Chris will be rough seas and rip currents along the East Coast.

There is a chance that Chris could become a Category 2 Hurricane by Wednesday morning. It does not pose a threat to land.

The remnants of Beryl are producing gusty winds and heavy rain over Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos.

This system is going to move towards the west-northwest and over the Bahamas.

The remnants have a slight chance of redevelopment in the coming days, but it does not appear to pose a threat to Central Florida.
