SCOTIA, N.Y. — Each year, a local nonprofit holds a fundraiser bringing together fathers and their daughters for a tea party.

The seventh annual event, put together by Maddie’s Mark Foundation, was held at Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia Sunday morning.

Lunch, a fashion show and a lot of prizes were just some of the highlights of the annual tea party.

In 2012, 5-year-old Madeline Musto was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor and passed away just five days after the diagnosis.

"In those five days she enjoyed some amazing time with her family, and the world moved mountains for us," said Erin Musto, Maddie's mom. "When we had the opportunity to start a foundation, we tried to do the same thing for others that they did for us."

Her family went on to start 'Maddie’s Mark' to honor her memory by making sure other children suffering from major illnesses can enjoy what the nonprofit calls 'best days ever.'
