Stopping revenge porn: That's the goal of legislation pushed by State Sen. Phil Boyle.

He spoke at the Capitol on Wednesday morning about two bills he's hoping to make laws.

One would criminalize revenge porn -- the sharing of sexual images online without the consent of the person in the images. The other bill would allow for civil action or a restraining order.

Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther is also sponsoring legislation. She joined Boyle to say it's time for revenge porn to be punishable by New York law.

Boyle's bill passed overwhelmingly in the Senate in March. The civil action bill is still pending.
