A state corrections employee is facing charges of forgery and grand larceny after allegedly stealing funds from a state corrections bank account.

Maria Fey, 49, is facing multiple felony charges after the State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations reported $3,000 missing from a bank account owned by the state.

An investigation into the missing money allegedly revealed Fey's involvement, and she was subsequently arrested by the state troopers with the assistance of the Columbia County District Attorney's Office.

Fey was arraigned before the city of Hudson Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due in court again Thursday morning.
