Authorities in Albany say the suspect involved in an afternoon stabbing Tuesday on Central Avenue is now in custody.

Police say a 17-year-old was stabbed in the back around 3 p.m. after a fight broke out involving both the suspect and the victim.

The teenager was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not released information about the suspect in custody.
