A television show that aired Monday night took a deeper look into the alleged Capital Region cult NXIVM.

Actress Sarah Edmondson says she was brought into the self-described self-help group by "Smallville" actress Allison Mack. Now she is speaking out in A&E's "Cults and Extreme Belief." Mack and alleged cult leader Keith Raniere were arrested earlier this year on federal sex trafficking and forced labor charges. They are awaiting trial in October.

In a recent move by federal authorities, they filed paperwork to seize two homes connected to NXIVM -- including Mack's condo in Halfmoon. Officials claim the properties may have been used as a hub of coerced sexual acts, abuse and sex trafficking linked with the alleged cult.
