A new traveling exhibit is sparking kids' imagination about their brains. The MiSci museum of innovation and science made its first stop in the Capital Region.

The 3,000 square foot interactive exhibit "Brain: The World Inside Your Head" uses innovative special effects, hands-on learning activities and even video games to teach kids how the brain functions and how it can sometimes malfunction.

"The brain is one of the most important parts of the anatomy and it's also the one that's probably the least understood," said Chris Hunter, VP of Collections and Exhibitions at MiSci.

The exhibit is split into two parts.

"The first part of the exhibit you get to learn about the brain and how the brain works and compare the actual brains of humans and different types of animals,” said Hunter

In the second half, you learn how you actually use your brain.

The brain exhibit is open to kids of all ages now through September 23.
