The Hoosick Falls mayor is taking his fight for clean water to Washington, D.C.

Rob Allen was one of hundreds of leaders participating in the PFAS National Leadership Summit, hosted by the Environmental Protection Agency.

PFOA is the chemical found in Hoosick Falls' water due to contamination from Honeywell and Saint Gobain. At the summit, the EPA's administrator laid out a four-step action plan to deal with water contamination -- first and foremost, evaluating the need for a maximum contaminant level for PFOA and PFOS in drinking water.

The EPA says it's also developing cleanup recommendations for contaminated sites.
