New details have emerged regarding an accident involving a state police patrol car that ended up on a man's front lawn and injured him as he mowed his grass.

We're now learning the driver of another car turned into that trooper's path.

State Police say the trooper was driving with emergency lights and sirens activated on North Lake Avenue in Brunswick around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, when another car tried to make a left-hand turn onto nearby Valley View Drive.

The trooper swerved and ended up crossing several front yards along North Lake.

A 70-year old man who was mowing his lawn at the time was struck and taken to Albany Medical Center. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The trooper suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the other car was not hurt.

State Police say no tickets have been issued so far.
