Schenectady firefighters responded to a fire on Eleanor Street Wednesday night.

The first units arrived around 10 p.m., and Chief Ray Senecal says heavy flames were pushing out of the second floor and attic. Everyone home at the time was out of the building by the time firefighters arrived.

Nobody was hurt, but three adults and two children will receive Red Cross assistance.

The chief says it took about 30 minutes to bring under control, and officials are looking into a cause.
