It's been 10 years since anyone saw Lutricia Steele, a Schenectady mother of four. On Tuesday, the police department held a news conference with the latest on her case.

Steele was last seen on May 1, 2008 leaving a family member's house in the city's Mont Pleasant neighborhood. She was 27 at the time.

Police say the investigation remains "active," but did not say much more than that.

Her mother, Ethel Zasa, says today is always the hardest day.

"It’s been hard, raising a 12-year-old from the time he was 2.5," Zasa said. "That’s when his mother went missing. We just want her home. We want some sort of closure."

Steele has a tattoo of a tiger on her left ankle, a tattoo with the name "Shawn" on her left arm and a tattoo with the name "Kasin" on her chest. Anyone with information should call Schenectady Police.
