The unofficial results of the 107th and 102nd Assembly District elections are in.

Republican Assembly Candidate Jake Ashby is confident he'll be the 107th district's next representative, but did not declare victory Tuesday night.

With all districts reporting, Ashby does hold a slim lead over Democrat Cindy Doran.

At final count, he was up by more than 300 votes.

Both Ashby and Doran are Rensselaer County legislators hoping to fill the spot left vacant by new Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin.

The race for the 102nd Assembly seat was very close with all districts reporting.

Republican Christopher Tague leads Democrat Aidan O'Connor by fewer than 300 votes.

Assembly District 102 covers Greene, Schoharie and portions of Albany and Columbia Counties.

Gov. Cuomo announced the special election in February after Pete Lopez resigned to take a job with the EPA.
